Who We Are
Books 4 Everyone is a volunteer organization that promotes literacy in Fairfield County, Connecticut. We collect gently used children's books and personally deliver them to needy schools, homeless shelters, food banks and community organizations. We also have volunteers who maintain libraries at a wide range of nursing homes and senior centers.
We started in January of 2015 and have delivered over 250,000 books.
Greenwich Book Swap at Holly Hill
Most of the books we deliver come from resident donations at the Book Swap at Holly Hill in Greenwich. We are open on Friday and Saturday mornings from 8am - noon.
Please feel free to drop by with books, or just to browse our free library. If you cannot donate books during our open hours you can drop books in the Bay State Books bins. This company picks up those books on a weekly basis and resells them.
If you have great books to donate, please stop by when we are open. If you are aware of a group in need, please ask them to contact us.
How Can You Help?
We currently get our books from the Greenwich Book Swap, Darien Book Aid, and many libraries, schools and community organizations. We love to help local churches and schools run book drives and are usually able to tell them exactly where all their books land.
If you are a teacher in need of classroom books, please feel free to drop by as we have no limits on the number of books teachers take.
If you know of a group that can use gently used children’s books, please contact us at Lorrie@Books4Everyone.org
